Money guide

A $25 membership is not a $25 prescription.

Compare LifeMD, PlushCare and WeightWatchers by the services their prices actually buy.

Three ways to pay for access

A clinic can bundle care and medication, charge a recurring care fee, or bill visits plus membership. These arrangements should not share an unlabeled price ranking. LifeMD, PlushCare and WeightWatchers provide concrete examples of care charges that leave medication outside the displayed figure. Insurance can add another layer of cost sharing.

LifeMD: introductory and ongoing care

LifeMD advertises $39 for the first care month and $149 afterward. With unchanged rates, twelve months would be $1,678 for care before medication. That sum is a budgeting scenario, not a prepaid invoice. The page describes consultations, coaching and certain required labs; confirm which services your chosen plan actually covers.

PlushCare: the visit and membership are separate

PlushCare’s uninsured initial visit is $129, while membership is $19.99 per month after the first free month. Subsequent visits and medicine still need their own figures. Do not multiply an initial visit by twelve or assume that the membership includes an unlimited number of clinical appointments. An insured patient’s actual visit cost depends on their plan.

WeightWatchers: the commitment changes the comparison

Med+ advertises a $25 opening month followed by $74 monthly with a twelve-month commitment or $84 with six months. The first committed periods sum to $839 and $445 respectively for care alone. Medication is excluded. Compare renewal rules and total obligation alongside the monthly rate, then add a separately verified pharmacy quote to build the complete budget.
