FDA approved Foundayo on April 1, 2026 for certain adults with obesity or overweight plus a weight-related condition, alongside diet and physical activity. Orforglipron is a small-molecule, non-peptide GLP-1 receptor agonist. It belongs in a related-treatment price comparison, but calling it a peptide would be chemically inaccurate.

Distinguish regular and temporary prices
The reviewed Lilly schedule gives regular thirty-day prices of $149 at 0.8 mg, $199 at 2.5 mg, $299 at 5.5 mg and 9 mg, and $349 at 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg. Through December 31, 2026, the 2.5 mg price is temporarily $149 and the 5.5 mg price is $199. These offers should carry their end date when used in a budget.

The highest strengths have a refill condition
A $299 purchase offer applies to the 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg strengths. Maintaining it requires refilling within forty-five days under the manufacturer terms. Additional taxes or fees may apply. If a telehealth program is involved, its care membership is another line item rather than part of the manufacturer’s medicine price by default.

Approval is not a reason to skip clinical review
The FDA announcement describes the eligible population and significant safety information, including the boxed warning related to thyroid C-cell tumors. The price table does not choose a strength or determine suitability.
