Money guide

A lower monthly equivalent can mean a much bigger first bill.

Compare prepaid plans by total commitment, renewal and refund rights.

Divide the total, then keep the total visible

OrderlyMeds lists a three-month semaglutide starter package at $224. The exact arithmetic is $74.67 per month when rounded to cents, but the purchase is still $224 upfront. Henry Meds lists a twelve-month semaglutide prepayment of $2,364, equivalent to $197 per month. Neither example is a month-to-month subscription at the displayed equivalent.

Compare the same time window

Choose a period and calculate both paths across that period. Three monthly payments of $149 total $447; a $224 starter commitment has a smaller listed cash cost over those three months if the patient qualifies for that offer. That difference says nothing about refund rights, dose changes or what is included beyond the published terms. It also does not establish that the prescriptions are identical.

Cancellation is part of the economics

Read whether a multi-month agreement is refundable, whether medication is shipped at once and whether remaining installments are owed. Henry’s legal program schedule discusses remaining obligations and a medical-ineligibility exception. Ivím’s page says cancellation is unavailable after the program starts. A theoretical savings calculation should not erase those commercial constraints.

Use break-even arithmetic carefully

Our prepay tool divides the upfront price by the alternative monthly cost to show a simple cash break-even point. It assumes unchanged prices and equivalent included services. It does not model credit costs, clinical suitability, a treatment change or the value of keeping cash available. If those assumptions do not hold, the calculation is only a starting point for a more complete decision.
